Note 44.215 MOUNT-L 215 of 517 CUPIDO::STRITAR "Andrej Stritar,IJS,(61)-371-321" 19 lines 5-OCT-1993 12:42 CUPIDO::STRITAR "Andrej Stritar,IJS,(61)-371-321" 19 lines 5-OCT-1993 12:42 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subj: Seeking info on an unknown mountain. This months National Geographic has an article on ancient life forms including those from the Burgess Shale of Canada. On or about pages 123-4, (sorry, I don't have the issue in front of me), there is a two page photo spread that includes a spectacularly looking black mountain with what appears to be some nearly vertical walls. Does any one know what this mountain is or its climbing history (if any)? I can't imagine that its gone unnoticed as I believe that the Burgess Shale lies alongside a major RR line.
