Note 44.217 MOUNT-L 217 of 517 CUPIDO::STRITAR "Andrej Stritar,IJS,(61)-371-321" 18 lines 6-OCT-1993 07:13 CUPIDO::STRITAR "Andrej Stritar,IJS,(61)-371-321" 18 lines 6-OCT-1993 07:13 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subj: RE: Climbing Walls I belong to a YMCA in suburban Chicago that has a climbing wall that is on a verticle belt. One is attached to the floor by a cable to a belt around the wai st and never climbs more than a couple of feet off the ground. The wall keeps coming down as one climbs up. It seems to be a safe way to learn and probably makes the insurance company happy. I have never tried it but if your insurance company would get excited about a regular climbing wall, this may be an option. This wall is located in a former raquetball court, so you can judge the size of the room for yourself and also houses a few other pieces of exercise eequipment. I don't know who makes it but it is in the Buehler YMCA, in Palatine Illinois. If you phoned them (708)359-2400, I'm sure they wou ld tell you where they bought it.
