My problem with figure eigths is that they deplete my energy when
belaying. Otherwise they are fine, the weight shouldn't matter much,
and I don't generally get the rope twisted or such. Plus, they are
cheap! Though I'd like to hear any experiences or suggestions with
fancier stuff.
