Many thanks for your messages. What I hope to do is to stimulate reports
of unusual cases so we can expand what we know (which is quite a lot)
about high altitude wellness and illness. We have a lot to learn and I
may do a new edition of my book (which came out in 1987, and a smaller
book in 1993). Despite a great deal of research we still don't understand
the basic pathology of altitude illness, nor how it might relate to
patients who have lung problems that deprive them of oxygen at sea level.

So let's keep talking - mostly about unusual problems, though I'm
interested in almost any experiences that cast light on man at altitude.
