Hello Mark,
Actually I did most of my climbing at Mt. Lemmon also. I've
been to two places here in Phoenix area so far: Camelback Mtn,
when I first started, and the Superstitions. You might forget
the first, unless you have three-four hours free time and just want
to exercise your fingers. I've recently been to the Superstition
Mtns. You can find some pretty demanding pocket climbs.
There are also climbing places in White Tanks, right west of Phoenix,
near Luke AFB, and Pinnacle Peak to the north. I haven't been to
these places for climbing though. Try to find a copy of "Phoenix Rock"
when you get here.
Keep in touch if/when you arrive.
