Subj: Hello from Slovenia

Hi,

I am from Ljubljana, Slovenia (for those of you, that are not following the
news: this is the former republic of former Yugoslavia). My town is only one
hour drive away from the Alps. I used to be a climber and I am a passionate
hiker today. I am also a moderator of the computer conference about
mountaineering, running on the DECNET network including some 200 VAX systems
under the NOTES software. Our conference is alive for three years now and
is quite busy. There are probably several hundred readers. Recently I have
started to transfer the output from MOUNT-L to our conference, so that the
circulation of MOUNT-L is now much bigger.

If anybody needs any information about anything related to our Julian Alps,
Karavanke and Kamnik Alps, just ask. I will be glad to provide an answer.
There are great places here for climbing, hiking, skiing, rafting, caving,
paragliding and number of another outdoor activities. Slovenia is also one
of Himalayan "superpowers". Our climbers have climbed a number of Himalayan
peaks and also opened number of new routes there. Tomo Cesen, the guy, that
has climbed the Lothse South Face alone, is from Slovenia.
