Dear Mountaineers:

Thanks to all those who wrote about this echo being "dead". I am glad to
report that it isn't, and that messages are starting to come around again.

I would like to request that we start mentioning our e-mail address at the
bottom of our messages, so we can start sending personal messages to each
other if we so wish.

My background in mountaneering is not very extensive. I was born in Brazil and
I lived there until I was 23 years old. I am now 10 years older and have been
going to the mountains (winter and summer) here in Colorado for about 5 years.

I am a graduate student in Geography (Physical). I am researching mass balance
on some Front Range glaciers.

I would be very interested in getting to know more about the people that
subscribe to this echo, such their experiences and likings. My interests also
include many aspects of geology and geomorphology.

I hope to hear from many of you soon,
